Coconut Shell Candle

Soy wax poured into a half shell and dressed with whole botanicals — star anise, cinnamon bark, bay, cardamom or dried rose, depending on the scent. The shell takes the heat comfortably and doubles as the vessel, so there is no glass to throw away.

Scent and botanicals can be made to order for gifting and events — tell us what you want and we will pour it. When the wax is spent, wash the shell out and it goes back to being a bowl.

Cut and finished from wasted coconut shell, a byproduct of the coconut harvest that would otherwise be discarded. Hand-sanded and sealed with natural oil — no plastics, resins or synthetic coatings.

• —Trim the wick to about 5 mm before each lighting.
• —Burn for no more than three hours at a time.
• —Never leave a burning candle unattended.
• —Once the wax is spent, wash the shell out and reuse it as a bowl.
